Big River Steel was recently honored with TPG’s “Reporting & Goal Setting” award during the annual TPG Sustainability Leadership Council Summit in Chicago. TPG recognized five of their portfolio companies at the summit for having an exemplary impact on sustainability and business building efforts. TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity investment platform of TPG, is an investor in Big River Steel.

TPG recognized Big River with the “Reporting & Goal Setting” award due to our LEED certification, employee and community engagement, outstanding environmental performance and our recently published Corporate Social Responsibility Report. We’re honored to be recognized and are grateful for TPG’s continued efforts to support us as we serve not only our customers but also our community and the environment.

The 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility Report includes environmental, employee and safety data from 2015 to 2017 and an overview of Big River’s community stewardship and operational initiatives. We are proud to share this information with our stakeholders and look forward to sharing additional data and initiatives for years to come. As we continue to grow as a company, we will be setting more goals and expanding our reporting efforts so that we can update our customers, partners, employees and community on Big River’s progress.
